He ate, received some visitors, and a good time was had by all, really.
He will be in hospital for a few more days, then home.
Hope to see some of you this coming holiday season.

Occasionally, I see something I think worth throwing a link up to, mostly, again, too lazy to bother, or maybe just too hesitant and by the time I might act, I am already on to something else....But I think about utilizing lj more fully.
And towards that end, here's Moonbell :)
Moonbell plays the moon by assigning sounds to lunar topographical data obtained by Japan's Kaguya explorer.
Play it here.
Settings include various scales, instrumentation, tempo; a sonic description can be created along a set orbital path or use the free scratch mode which allows you to direct the composition across the lunar surface.
It's not exactly Debussy, but simply knowing their source makes these sounds evocative.

A summer night the hot the heat
Sit at my desk fluorescent light
Drawing a picture of a perfect moment
I saw it once on a grand avenue
That stretched into the distance
And you and I were walking there
Lost in the moment
Life on a string
Life on a string
Some people know exactly where they're going
The pilgrims to Mecca
The climbers to the mountaintop
But me, I'm just looking
For just a single moment
So I can slip through time
Life on a string
Life on a string.

Sign the petition to make the SF Board of Supervisors enforce the recommendations made to them by their own task force in 1996.
Uphold the Constitution, and everyone's right to equal protection under the law.
"This measure would require the Police Department and the District Attorney to practice consistent and rigorous enforcement of laws against coercion, extortion, battery, rape and other violent crimes, regardless of the victim’s status as a sex worker, and to practice full disclosure in investigating and prosecuting charges of such offences against sex workers, exotic dancers or erotic service providers."
Decriminalization of prostitution is the necessary first step towards ending the stigmatization that results in exploitation, suffering, and violence.
"The measure would prohibit the Police Department from allocating City resources to investigate and prosecute prostitution and from applying for or receiving federal and state funds that involve racial profiling to target alleged trafficked victims. Instead, the Police Department would be required to redirect such funds toward implementing the Task Force’s recommendations."
Volunteers gathering signatures will be in many locations over the next few months. Add you signature!
